About Miss Marina!

I’m Brazilian, but choose the United States to raise my 2 kids. Sophia 5 years old and Enzo 7 years old.

I was born into a family of entrepreneurs. Growing up, I was surrounded by threads, stones, fabrics, drawings, and creativity due to my mother and grandmother’s partnership in an embroidery fashion studio. During my free time, I would help them with their work and develop an affinity for handicrafts. At the age of ten, I began to sell earrings and necklaces I had made in my family fashion studio, thus beginning my entrepreneurial journey.

In 2009, I graduated from a Fashion Design School in Brazil with a qualification in pattern making, where I honored with the “Best Pattern Making” that granted me a three-month scholarship to ESMOD in Paris.

In 2011, I attended Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts London). I took a course focusing on an experimental and exploratory approach, applying the Moulage technique which involves three-dimensional patterns directly on a mannequin.

Since then I have worked at some recognized brands in Brazil, and also at one of the top three department stores in Brazil (C&A).
In 2018 my mother came to live in Tampa-FL, where my sister had already been living for a few years and I decided to manage my family’s studio which we worked from its creation and patterns, through the production and customization processes, to the final product.

In February 2022, my husband and I decided that the United States would be better to raise our children than Brazil, so I moved to Tampa with all my family to find a better future to Sophia and Enzo.

I started working as a nanny when I first arrived here, but my mind was always on the world of fashion.
So I decided to combine my two passions – fashion and working with children – and set up my sewing and embroidery course for children.
